Hoopla Top

I finished the top of my Hoopla quilt this today.

I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do for the back or the border. I'm going to leave it hanging up for a day or two and see what comes to me.

I started a new quilt today using Hoopla by Moda.

I bought 3 charm packs, as well as some white solid fabric. This is the basic design I'm following.

I creating 20 large squares that consist of 4 charm squares sewn together.

I set aside 12 charm squares to use for the single colored tiles. And cut 31 rectangles (9.5" x 5") from the white fabric.

I've laid out all of the fabric and came up with layout that I like. So now on to sewing the rows.

I have tomorrow off, so I'm hoping that I will have the top done before I go back to work on Wednesday. Wish me luck!

Christmas Patchwork Throw

I just finished my last patchwork throw. This time I used squares from a Sparkle All The Way layer cake. I just love the fabrics in this line from Robert Kaufman.

And I again used Minky Dimple Dot fleece for the back. This time is a nice bright red.

Now All I Need Are Guests

I was up early this morning and immediately started work on pillows for the guestroom.

The duvet cover for this bed is white, so it really needed some color.

The green stripes match the quilt that will be on top of the duvet. They are all from the Kiwi line from Timeless Treasures.

I had some Minky Cuddle Lamb left, so used that to make the small white pillow.

And I just loved the J'Adore Paris fabric. I bought two yards. So this is the first of it - a bigger pillow for the bed. This fabric definitely adds some color.

Dream On!

My Dream On jelly roll arrived today. Yipee!

I'm going to make this Skinny Strips quilt. For the top you just need two jelly rolls, one patterned and the other a solid color.
You can read more about the quilt at AllPeopleQuilt.com. The pattern is also available for download there.

Wine Anyone?

I purchased some very cute fabric from Fabric.com and it arrived today.

First up is Jennifer Garant's Cycling Chefs and Chefs. And they are all carrying my fav - Red Wine!

And then there are these beauties: Wine Country Cork Screws, Wine Country Corks, and Wine Country Labels.

I'm planning to make some placemats out of these.

Two More Throws

I finished two more patchwork throws today!
The first one used a layer cake of Vera's Garden. For the back I used Minky Cuddle Lamb fleece.

I just can't say enough about this fleece. It was absolutely gorgeous!

The first one used a layer cake of Dill Blossom. For the back I used Minky Embossed Paisly fleece.

My Latest Purchases

Just got around to looking my latest purchases from Missouri Star Quilt Company.

I check their Daily Deal everyday - and quite often end up picking up a charm pack. My recent purchases include Origins by Moda, Sweet Hearts by Benartex, and Tidings by Nancy Halvorsen.

And then a great layer cake from Robert Kaufman called Sparkle All The Way.

I've spent a few minutes this morning laying out the squares. I'm going to turn this into another patchwork throw. I've already bought the Red Minky "dimple dot" for the back.

I guess I had better get sewing!
